End of the Day

I just returned home from my day at a Job Fair and then MBA Bayarea networking event. A biggy is after talking to several recruiters, I now know it's okay to apply for jobs requiring 2-3 years experience even though I don't have "any" real EXP. It was a great day today. I could really get used to being unemployed!

So I spent most of my afternoon at the San Francisco library reading about derivatives, mostly options. And looking at job search books. I borrowed a few on statistical analysis and excel. Met with a cool guy from India working at Salesforce.com. Met up with my new friend from SD and talked to like 30-40 very diverse people.

I also went past Aldo which seems to be doing great, but I didn't see Monesha there.

I asked a recruiter if she was going to any other job fairs :) and she told me about this one. It looks good. I know three job fairs in one week is intense, but if I can't get jobs by mid November, hunting season is over.

12 October, Friday - 11am-3pm, Main Gym
Career Expo - Fall 2007
Open only to SF State students and alumni. Guests are expected to follow the Code of Conduct. Also, you are encouraged to bring extra resumes, and dress professionally. Employers from companies, businesses, non-profits and government agencies will be recruiting for internships and full-time positions during this one-day event.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who have attended a Career Center workshop or seminar have received an Early Admission Ticket. Don’t forget to bring your special ticket. Regular admission for all others begins at Noon. Recruiter registration form
