Facebook and Mac Explosion

I don't know if people realize this but on the campus of LSE, about 1/4 laptops are Macs. And 1 in 5 have facebook on their laptops. I have usually thought of people on facebook as time wasters (but it gives them pleasure so I don't judge). I have long since stopped looking at people's profiles and use it mostly as a way to organize my contacts.

However as my fellow students and friends have graduated, some of their profiles have also significantly changed. There is a resource of information out there and if you are careful, you can find them pretty useful. Just don't waste time on your familiar friends' pages, as you will only find interesting thing through the power of weak-ties (c.f. tipping point). For example, looking at someone's profile I discovered a few bits of usefulness:
